Top tier waffles! My favourite waffle shop in all of Scotland. The variety of ice-cream flavours, sauces and toppings is HUGE! You can get sweet, savoury, plain, super stuffed anything you desire. It's a tucked away little shop so it's never too busy and I love the decor. Great for an afternoon dessert, date or place to go with kids and parents.

Mackie’s provided great dairy free options, and I tried the Irn Bru sorbet that was one of the best I have tried. Would definitely recommend coming here if near Aberdeen.

Loved visiting this spot. A lot of options so didn’t know what to get at first. Ended up getting the 4 seasons waffle. Was delicious! One tip? There was Chocolate Sauce on the four parts of the waffle, which kinda overpowered all the other flavours. I’d say to restrict the sauce to one or two parts so the variety in the toppings comes through in other parts with the other flavors. Other than that, this was a delicious experience. I’d def be back…

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve visited this place. Whenever I travel to Aberdeen, it’s a must-go spot for us. From their lattes—with that small, cute cone of ice cream attached to the cup—to their delicious waffles and ice creams, everything is consistently great. Biscoff and Very Berry are my favourite ice cream flavours, and they never disappoint. This shop has become one of those places I genuinely look forward to on every trip.

Mackies is fantastic! The desserts are absolutely delicious, and the strawberry milkshake was amazing. The service at Mackies is outstanding, and the atmosphere was great. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s definitely worth experiencing the delicious waffles, ice creams, and other desserts. Mackies chocolates and ice creams tend to be really nice in general, so for them to open a dessert shop is brilliant. Definitely worth a visit!

You should be really strong to overcome such a portion of dessert alone . So big and delicious. The attention to details is a pleasant surprise,this little ice cream with you coffee definitely make you smile. The best ice cream in Aberdeen! Nothing more is needed, but I'll elaborate for those who want more info. Hidden in the courtyard of the building across the Marischal Square, Mackie's is a place with the best ice cream you can find in Aberdeen. 19.2 miles from the farm allows the ice cream to be fresh all the time. There are so many flavours available - almost anything you can think of, they have it. The hot chocolate on top (homemade) was amazing, pure delight. The staff is approachable, helpful and fast (considering there's almost always someone in the queue - there hasn't been a time that there was no line when I went there). It's honestly a place I was taken and it's a place where I would take my friends, so I highly recommend it.
